Once the Aquascape putty is set it can be difficult to remove and depends on how much it has been pushed into the rock. The best way is to use a flat head screwdriver and carefully lever the putty from the rock, in some cases you may have to put the flat edge of the screwdriver against where the putty attaches and tap the screwdriver with a small hammer.

We do not recommend trying this when the rock is in the aquarium as there is always a risk of slipping and causing damage.
