There are two different salts we produce.

H2Ocean Classic Pro Reef Formula - This salt has balanced elevated levels of Calcium, Magnesium, and Alkalinity. It is designed to replenish these with every waterchange. In aquariums with a lower demand this can be enough to maintain the levels in the aquarium with regular partial water changes. If the aquarium has high demand from the corals, suppliments may have to be used inbetween waterchanges.

H2Ocean Dosing Pro Reef Formula - This has been designed to be used on reef aquariums that are running a dosing or balling type method to constantly replenish major elements. The salt still contains balanced levels of Calcium, Magnesium, and Alkalinity but they are formulated not to be elevated. As a result this will not elevate the levels after a water change allowing the dosing system to maintain stability.

In all aquariums accurate water testing is key, we reccomend that important elements are checked and added as needed. In low demand aquariums or in situations where the major elements have become unbalanced this can be done with partial waterchanges. In higher demand situations suppliments or other addition methods should be used.
