When using the FMR reactor with bio pellets we recommend taking out the top and bottom sponges as the mulm shed from the pellets will tend to block them quickly. Removing the sponges will also help to maximise the water flow. The unit is fitted with a top and bottom perforated plate to prevent the pellets escaping.
