How do I set up my controller?
Go to Menu > Setup Lights. Select wired or wireless. If wired, select model. Currently the controller only supports AI Vegas for wireless communication.
My controller will not find my Vega's
In order for the controller to discover the light module the diagnostic LED on the Vega must be red.
Hold down the red button for approximately 7 seconds ( will be indicated by diagnostic LED blinking green/red/green/red ) .

What is screen saver mode?
Screen saver mode simply turns off the screen after a period of inactivity.

For lunar cycle, the start and end date must be in the future.
How does the coral acclimation mode work?
Let's say its Sept 15th and we want to acclimate new corals for 5 days. The Coral Acclimation dialog is enabled, some reduction is set, and then the START DATE is set to Sept 15th and the END DATE set to Sept 20th ( 5 days of acclimation ).
So the controller reduces the intensities starting today ( Sept 15th ) then gradually brings the intensities up until the clock reaches Sept 20th. On midnight Sept 21st, coral acclimation is turned off automatically.
Now, if the user sets the start or end date to times that have already passed, then coral acclimation will not turn on. Setting START to August 1st and END to Sept 1st ( and right now it's Sept 15th ) , Coral Acclimation won't turn on. If the user goes back to dialog, it will show disabled no matter how many attempts are made to turn it on.
Does my controller have to be plugged into the wall to communicate with my Vega
Yes, the controller needs to be plugged into USB power. " Wireless " refers to communication, not power.
If I program my controller and then unplug it from the wall, what will my Vega do?
The Vega's are programmed to remain at the same intensity and timer when the controller is unplugged.
Extra shortcuts/tips
3 seconds after the splash screen is displayed, press and hold:
the UP and DOWN arrows this will give the following options: force firmware update ENTER and CANCEL force

For the new rubber button version - To force the controller into boot-loader (so that you can update it), hold down
the left side square button while plugging in the power to the controller. This will put the controller into firmware update mode, so that you can update it to the current firmware release
More tips
- Always plug power into the outlet/power strip first, then plug into the lights ( VEGA ONLY, not SOL )
- To find the lights the indicator light on the side of the Vega needs to be RED.
- To get it to Red discovery mode, hold down red button for approx. 7 seconds untili it flashes red/green rapidly, then release. Button should be red.
- Go into your controller and 4) Setup Lights. Make sure it is set to Vega.
- To use the Vega without a controller make sure it is in RED discovery mode and tap the red button on the unit, this will cycle the unit through its power settings 20% at a time i.e 0 - 20 - 40 - 60 - 80 - 100% then back to 0
