The most popular way of connecting up a Kalkwasser reactor is through the freshwater top up system.

In most cases the flow rate of the top up unit will be too high to pipe direct in to the unit so we suggest setting up a bypass. It should be set so that every time the ATO activates some of the fresh water passes in to the Kalkwasser reactor and drips back in to the sump, the rest of the top up water will go directly into the sump as normal.
